The Toronto Raptors have a Tyrese Maxey problem.
The 21-year-old Philadelphia 76ers guard went scorched earth in the first half of Friday's game in Toronto, connecting on seven three-pointers and producing 27 points without missing any of his 10 shots — more than making up for star Joel Embiid's absence.
It's not the first time he's given the Raptors some trouble, either.
Just this Wednesday, Maxey had 31 points in Toronto's eventual win, and in last season's playoffs he scored 38 points in Game 1 of the 76ers' first-round series against the Raptors.
The 76ers led 65-48 at the half, and ultimately won the game 112-90. Although Maxey missed some shots in the second, he still went 5-for-10 to finish with a career-high 44 points.
The record for most threes made in a half (10) and in a game (14) are both held by Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson.
