The NBA's In-Season Tournament is now known as the NBA Cup but one thing hasn't changed: the unique courts.
Teams began revealing their new colourful courts Thursday. Although not quite as bold as those featured in year one, they still stand out from your typical hardwood.
Each court features three circles representing the three stages of the tournament and the NBA Cup trophy. Home teams will wear their special Statement edition uniforms for the games, while the away teams will sport their white Association jerseys.
The Los Angeles Lakers won the inaugural In-Season Tournament last season, defeating the Indiana Pacers 123-109 during the final at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip. LeBron James was named tournament MVP. Each player on the winning team receives a cash prize.
The NBA Cup format includes pool play with the six group winners plus two wild-card teams advancing to the single-elimination knockout round.
This year's NBA Cup starts Nov. 12 with the semifinals and final set to return to Las Vegas on Dec. 17.
The Toronto Raptors have drawn into East Group B with the Milwaukee Bucks, Indiana Pacers, Miami Heat and Detroit Pistons.
