Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard will not play Monday night in Detroit against the Pistons because of right knee injury management.
Leonard's status for his return to Toronto to face the Raptors on Tuesday remains uncertain.
Leonard has played just 13 of the Clippers' 34 games this season. He is averaging 16.3 points and 5.9 rebounds.
Leonard did play in the Clippers' last three games before Christmas.
It looks like Zion Williamson's return to the Pelicans could be delayed.
After missing two games last week while in health and safety protocols, the Pelicans star is listed as doubtful for Monday's game against the Indiana Pacers because of return to play reconditioning.
Williamson is averaging 25.2 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.7 assists while shooting 60.3% from the field this season after missing all of last season because of a foot injury.
Meanwhile, Larry Nance Jr. is listed as questionable with right Achilles soreness. He has missed the past two games.
Heat centre/forward Bam Adebayo will miss Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves because of a non-COVID illness.
Adebayo is averaging 20.8 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 53.2 per cent from the field this season.
The slumping Knicks who have lost three straight after going on an eight-game win streak might have more issues down the road as standout point guard Jalen Brunson has been listed as questionable with a sore hip for Tuesday's game against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks.
Brunson has been a catalyst for change in Manhattan, averaging 20.2 points, 3.2 assists and 6.6 assists per game in 34 contests for New York (18-16).
One of the hottest teams in the league right now, the 76ers, currently on an eight-game win streak, are set to have star guard Tyrese Maxey (foot) return from injury as early as this Friday against the Pelicans.
Maxey has been sidelined since Nov. 18 when he suffered the injury against the Milwaukee Bucks. So far this season, the third-year guard has averaged 22.9 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 15 contests. He has also shot 42.2 percent from deep, second-best on the Sixers behind Georges Niang.
