NBA teams will be decked out in some fresh uniforms for the new In-Season Tournament.
The league unveiled new City Edition jerseys for each of the 30 teams before the new tournament begins on Friday. The uniforms "represent the stories, history and heritage that make each franchise unique — honouring the inherent bond between, court, community and culture," the NBA said in a statement.
The Toronto Raptors jersey is named "Drip Gold." It features gold as the primary colour with a black trim and a lightning bolt design. The lightning bolts feature the words "We The North" inscribed in multiple languages. The shorts will feature a Canadian Flag on the belt.
The In-Season Tournament is a new event running over the next six weeks, with every game on Tuesdays and Fridays designated as tournament games. Clubs have been divided into six groups of five — giving each team four group games. The six group winners and two wild-card teams will advance to the quarterfinals in the first week of December before the semifinals and the final are played in Las Vegas the week after.
