Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray was ruled out for the remainder of Thursday's game against the Miami Heat with a right ankle sprain, TNT's Chris Haynes reported.
The Canadian guard suffered the injury late in the second quarter when he landed on teammate Aaron Gordon's foot after jumping to make a pass.
Murray initially tried to walk the injury off, but then headed to the team's locker room and did not return.
The Kitchener, Ont., native recorded six points and three assists in 14 minutes before being forced to leave.
Murray missed most of November with a hamstring injury, and since his return, the Nuggets have been careful to manage his workload.
The Kentucky product came into Thursday's game averaging 20.9 points and 6.4 assists in 43 games this season.
