Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray left Wednesday's game against the Phoenix Suns with a left ankle sprain and did not return.
The injury occurred early in the fourth quarter, with Denver leading 100-75, when Murray appeared to twist his ankle after making a sudden stop and then attempting to change directions.
The 25-year-old Canadian missed most of the 2020-21 season and the entire 2021-22 campaign with a torn ACL.
Over 33 games this season, Murray has gradually regained his pre-injury form. He's averaging 18.5 points and 5.3 assists for the Western Conference-leading 28-13 Nuggets.
The Nuggets went on to win the game 126-97.
