The final quarter of the Denver Nuggets’ season came without their MVP on the floor, as Nikola Jokic was ejected from Game 4 against the Suns in the third quarter, before Phoenix went on to complete the series sweep.
The Denver Nuggets will try to keep their season alive without their MVP as Nikola Jokic was ejected in the third quarter of Game 4 against the Pheonix Suns.
The incident occurred late in the third quarter as Jokic tried to smack the ball out of Cameron Payne’s hands but made contact with the latter’s face. After a review, Jokic was assessed a Flagrant 2 foul and forced to leave the court while Devin Booker was given a technical foul for confronting Jokic.
A few of Jokic’s fellow hoopers weighed in on the call:
Jokic did that to me too this year. Literally slapped the black off me

Even stars outside the NBA shared their thoughts on the untimely ejection:
The 26-year-old Jokic finished the game with 22 points, 11 rebounds and four assists in 28 minutes for the Nuggets.
Jokic was named the NBA MVP after averaging 26.4 points, 10.8 rebounds per game and 8.3 assists while shooting 56 per cent from the field and 39 per cent from 3-point range.
Without their MVP, the Nuggets were swept for the first time since 2008, while the Suns went on to earn their first Western Conference Finals berth since 2010.
