A new club opened on Tuesday and only one person is allowed entry.
Denver Nuggets guard Russell Westbrook became the inaugural member of the 200 triple-doubles club, earning the benchmark statline in a 122-110 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.
The former MVP finished the game with 12 points, 10 rebounds and 14 assists in 32 minutes off the bench. The Nuggets managed the win despite being without superstar Nikola Jokic, in big part thanks to Westbrook's efforts.
Although he's far removed from the highs he played at in his MVP season in 2016-17, Westbrook has found ways to be impactful in his stint in the Mile High City. He's averaging 10.7 points, 4.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 24.3 minutes per game, mostly off the bench.
This is his first triple-double of the season and his first since April 4, when he was still a member of the Los Angeles Clippers last season.
He set the season-high mark for triple-doubles during his MVP campaign, notching 42 and breaking Hall of Famer Oscar Robertson's 1961-62 record of 41.
That year, he also became the second player ever to average a triple-double over a full season. Then he did it three more times in 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2020-21.
