The Orlando Magic are waiving Terrence Ross and Patrick Beverley, allowing both the chance to sign with a playoff team as free agents.
Beverley was traded by the Los Angeles Lakers along with a second-round pick in exchange for Mo Bamba at the deadline on Thursday. The 34-year-old is averaging 6.4 points and 3.1 rebounds this season but did not play with Orlando.
Ross and the Magic were finalizing a contract buyout. The former Toronto Raptor is averaging 8.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 42 appearances during the 2022-23 season.
