Otto Porter Jr. will be available Wednesday for the Toronto Raptors when they visit the San Antonio Spurs, his first game with the team.
Star point guard Fred VanVleet, however, will miss his second consecutive game with lower-back stiffness.
The Raptors signed Porter — a six-foot-eight forward — to a two-year, $12.3-million contract this summer but he missed most of training camp with a hamstring injury. He then was away from the team for personal reasons, but has now returned and is ready to provide some depth shooting to the Raptors.
Porter joined the Raptors from the Warriors, where he won an NBA championship last season.
