The Miami Heat traded centre Thomas Bryant to the Indiana Pacers on Sunday for the right to swap second-round picks in the 2031 NBA Draft.
Bryant has averaged 4.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.9 blocks over 10 games with Miami this season.
The 27-year-old re-signed with Miami this past off-season on a one-year, $2.8 million deal.
Indiana has already lost two backup centres for the year as both James Wiseman and Isaiah Jackson tore their Achilles. The Pacers brought in Moses Brown for a short stint but have since waived him, subsequently freeing up a spot for a more seasoned option in Bryant.
The Pacers, who made it to the Conference Finals last season, are looking to get back on track sitting eighth in the East with an 11-15 record.
