The Toronto Raptors may be close to returning to full strength.
In their first practice since the NBA's All-Star break, the Raptors saw O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. practise after they both missed multiple games prior to the break.
Anunoby has been dealing with a wrist ailment and has not played since Jan. 27 when he was injured against the Golden State Warriors. One of the top defensive wings in the league, Anunoby is averaging 16.9 and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Raptors this season.
Meanwhile, Trent Jr. has been dealing with a calf strain and last played Feb. 10 against the Utah Jazz. The sharpshooter is the third leading scorer on the Raptors this season, averaging 18.6 points per game.
Both Anunoby and Trent Jr. were both central figures in a number of trade rumours prior to the NBA trade deadline, but the Raptors decided to keep the majority of their roster intact, with their only move being the addition of Jakob Poeltl.
The only player missing from practice was Pascal Siakam, who was presumably given an extra day since he was a participant in the All-Star festivities. Head coach Nick Nurse said he would be back at practice tomorrow.
Toronto has won five of its past six games, and two of its last three since adding Poeltl. With 23 games remaining, the Raptors have a 28-31 record and sit 10th in the Eastern Conference - the final spot in the NBA's play-in tournament.
The Raptors' first chance to improve their playoff seeding comes Thursday when they host the New Orleans Pelicans.
