Toronto Raptors wing RJ Barrett has been ruled out for their game against the Atlanta Hawks as he deals with left knee swelling, the team announced Sunday.
The Raptors were already set to be shorthanded against the Hawks with guard Immanuel Quickley out for a second straight game with a thigh injury and centre Jakob Poeltl remaining out with an ankle injury.
Forward Jontay Porter is available after sustaining an eye injury in a loss Friday to the Los Angeles Clippers.
Barrett was a late addition to the injury report after seemingly not dealing with issues in the game Friday.
This is the first game he has missed since joining the Raptors.
In his 13 games with Toronto, Barrett has found his groove, averaging 21 points, 7.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists while shooting 55 per cent from the field and 36 per cent from deep.
The Raptors are currently 16-29, two games out of a play-in spot, and sit in 12th place in the east.
