Toronto Raptors broadcasters Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong are temporarily stepping away from their duties "out of an abundance of caution" after members of the broadcast crew were exposed to someone outside the Raptors organization who was found to be positive for COVID-19.

In a statement, the Raptors said that Devlin and Armstrong "have decided to stay away from work and self-monitor for a period of time" even though doing so is not mandated by the NBA.

In their place, Monday's game between the Raptors and Kings on TSN will be called by Paul Jones and Leo Rautins while Tuesday's game in Brooklyn against the Nets on Sportsnet will be called remotely by Eric Smith and Amy Audibert.

In a statement on Twitter, Armstrong said he is fully vaccinated, had recently received his booster and has tested negative for the coronavirus.

"I fully support the precautions that we're taking at this time," Armstrong wrote. "Look forward to being back calling Raptors games very soon!"
