Toronto Raptors coach Nick Nurse has not ruled out prized rookie Scottie Barnes from playing in Game 3 of the team's playoff series against the visiting Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday.
Nurse left the door open to Barnes returning at shootaround in the morning.
Barnes suffered an ankle injury in Game 1 of the series on Saturday and was in a walking boot at shootaround on Monday.
The first-round pick was not in a walking boot at shootaround on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Gary Trent Jr. (non-COVID illness) will play Wednesday, Nurse said. Trent Jr. played just 10 minutes and was ineffective in Monday's Game 2 loss.
Thad Young (thumb) also will play after being on the court for just eight minutes on Monday.
The 76ers lead the series 2-0.
Game 3 is on Sportsnet on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.
