Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet and forward Precious Achiuwa won't play in Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns.
Neither player was in the lineup for Thursday's 119-106 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
VanVleet left Tuesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers in the third quarter because of lower back stiffness and did not practise the following day as he was dealing with back spasms.
An all-star last season, VanVleet is averaging 18.5 points, 6.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds this season.
Achiuwa hasn't played since Nov. 9 due to a sprained right ankle.
The Raptors are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with a 15-20 record entering the matchup against the Suns.
Phoenix (20-16) will be without Devin Booker, Landry Shamet, Cam Johnson and Cam Payne Friday.
