Toronto Raptors All-Star point guard Fred VanVleet will make his return to the lineup after a five-game absence when Toronto takes on the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night.
The 28-year-old last played on Feb. 26 against the Atlanta Hawks due to soreness in his right knee. The Raptors have gone 2-3 in that stretch, and are currently riding a three-game losing streak.
VanVleet is averaging 21.4 points and 6.9 assists through 52 games this season, earning his first All-Star nod in February.
The Raptors are currently seventh in the Eastern Conference, 3.5 games back of the sixth-seed Cleveland Cavaliers and 2.0 games ahead of the eighth-seed Brooklyn Nets.
The Spurs are 12th in the Western Conference with a 25-40 record.
