Klutch Sports Group announced Friday it will now represent Toronto Raptors star point guard Fred VanVleet.
The 28-year-old VanVleet could become a free agent this summer should he decline his $22.8 million player option for next season.
VanVleet was in the market for a new agent after reportedly parting ways with Par-Lay Sports and Entertainment last month.
Klutch Sports Group, founded by Rich Paul in 2012, also counts Los Angeles Lakers superstars LeBron James and Anthony Davis plus VanVleet's Raptors teammates O.G. Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. among its clients.
VanVleet is averaging 19.7 points, 4.3 rebounds and a team-high 6.6 assists per game this season.
He joined the Raptors as an undrafted free agent in 2016 and played a key role coming off of the bench to help Toronto capture its first NBA title in 2019. VanVleet finished runner-up to Kawhi Leonard in NBA Finals MVP voting.
The Rockford, Ill., native played in his first All-Star Game last year while averaging career highs of 20.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game during the 2021-22 campaign.
