Raptors' Jakob Poeltl remains out vs. Heat

The Toronto Raptors will play their first game since returning from the All-Star break slightly shorthanded.

Sportsnet's Blake Murphy reported Thursday that Jakob Poeltl remains out for Friday's game against the Miami Heat.

Poeltl was initially listed as questionable, but was downgraded shortly thereafter.

The 29-year-old is averaging 14.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game for the Raptors this season — both career highs. Poeltl hasn't played since Feb. 4 — missing five games leading up to the break — when he suffered a right hip injury against the New York Knicks.

This season, he's suited up for 45 of the Raptors' 55 games.

Brandon Ingram (ankle) remains out for the Raptors as well. Two-way centre Ulrich Chomche is out for the remainder of the season with an MCL tear.
