More reinforcements could be on the way for the Toronto Raptors.
The team announced Friday that Canadian centre Kelly Olynyk is questionable for Saturday's home game against the Dallas Mavericks.
Olynyk, 33, has yet to play this season after suffering a back injury during Toronto's first pre-season game.
He joined the Raptors in a trade from the Utah Jazz in February, coming over along with guard Ochai Agbaji in exchange for Otto Porter Jr., Kira Lewis Jr. and a 2024 first-round draft pick.
In 28 games with the Raptors last season, Olynyk — who was born in Toronto and raised in Kamloops, B.C. — averaged 12.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.6 assists per contest.
He also suited up for Team Canada at the Paris Olympics, where he appeared in three games and averaged 11 minutes.
A return against the Mavericks could pit him against Canadian frontcourt partner Dwight Powell.
But the Raptors, who fell 129-92 against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday, could now be without point guard Davion Mitchell, who was added to the injury report later Friday as questionable with hip stiffness.
Jakob Poeltl is also questionable with an illness, while Bruce Brown (reconditioning) and Immanuel Quickley (elbow) were ruled out.
