Toronto Raptors forward Otto Porter Jr. will be "out for a bit" because of personal reasons, coach Nick Nurse said Thursday.
Porter Jr. was closing in on making his debut for the Raptors after dealing with a hamstring injury for much of training camp and the start of the season.
The former Golden State Warrior was the Raptors' biggest off-season addition, signing a two-year, $12.4-million deal.
Porter, 29, averaged 8.2 points and 5.7 rebounds for the NBA champion Warriors last season.
The Raptors return to action on Friday against the Philadelphia 76ers at Scotiabank Arena. Watch the game on Sportsnet or SN NOW at 7:30 p.m. ET / 4:30 p.m. PT.
