Toronto Raptors star Pascal Siakam became the fifth player in franchise history to score 50 or more points in a game when he hit the mark in the last minute of the fourth quarter on Wednesday in New York against the Knicks.
Siakam finished with 52 points in a 113-106 win. He also had nine rebounds and seven assists as the Raptors snapped a six-game losing streak against a New York team that had won eight in a row.
Fred VanVleet (54 points), DeMar DeRozan (52), Vince Carter (51) and Terrence Ross (51) are the other Raptors to have recorded 50 points in a game,
Siakam's previous career high was 44, which he has recorded three times.
Siakam also set a record for a Raptor at Madison Square Garden. The previous high was 41 by Andrea Bargnani in 2010.
It was the 18th 50-point performance by a New York opponent at MSG.
