The bad injury luck for the Toronto Raptors continued on Sunday as starting centre Jakob Poeltl was forced to exit against the Charlotte Hornets with a dislocated pinky finger on his left hand, the team announced.
Head coach Darko Rajakovic said after the game that there's no fracture and that he'll be evaluated further in the coming days.
The injury comes just two days after all-star forward Scottie Barnes broke a bone in his left hand.
Poeltl had eight points in 14 minutes before injuring his finger late in the second quarter. It happened as the team was setting up on offence and he tried to come off his man.
The 28-year-old big man came into Sunday's contest averaging 11.2 points and 8.7 rebounds through 49 games this season.
Poeltl was forced to miss a month of action with a sprained left ankle earlier this season.
