Toronto Raptors forward Otto Porter Jr. was ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against the Detroit Pistons at halftime due to left foot soreness.
Juancho Hernangomez started the second half in Porter's place.
After the game head coach Nick Nurse said someone had stepped on Porter's foot, injuring his toe.
Porter Jr. has played in eight of the Raptors' first 15 games this season and made his season debut on Nov. 2 after suffering a hamstring injury during camp and taking time away to welcome the birth of his daughter.
He's averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in those eight contests.
The Raptors were already playing shorthanded with Fred VanVleet (non-COVID illness), Pascal Siakam (right abductor strain), Gary Trent Jr. (right hip soreness) and Precious Achiuwa (right ankle ligament tear) all unavailable against the Pistons.
The Raptors won the game 115-111.
