Toronto Raptors star Scottie Barnes has returned to the team's training camp in Montreal, Sportsnet's Blake Murphy reported on Saturday.
The 23-year-old participated in the team's practice, but it was announced that he wouldn't be available for Sunday's opening pre-season game against the Washington Wizards.
Barnes had previously been excused from travelling with the team to Montreal for the start of camp due to personal reasons. He did not participate in the team's first open scrimmage on Friday.
Guard Immanuel Quickley will also be unavailable for precautionary reasons as he nurses a thumb injury suffered in the off-season.
Barnes averaged 19.9 points, 6.0 assists and 8.2 rebounds over 60 games last season before missing the end of the campaign with a hand injury.
He enters this season in the final year of his rookie deal, with a five-year, $224-million contract he signed in July set to begin in the 2025-26 season.
