A Canadian will fill the open spot on the Toronto Raptors' roster for at least 10 days.
Toronto-raised forward Eugene Omoruyi has signed a 10-day contract with the Raptors, the NBA club announced Wednesday.
Omoruyi gets the call from Raptors 905, where he has averaged 19.6 points and 7.4 rebounds in 14 G-League games this season.
The six-foot-six Omoruyi, 27, signed with Raptors 905 after he was waived by the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Oregon product broke into the NBA in 2021 when he signed a two-way deal with the Dallas Mavericks after going undrafted. He has career averages of 9.7 points and 2.3 rebounds in 87 career NBA games with Dallas, Oklahoma City, Detroit and Washington.
Omoruyi was born in Nigeria before moving with his family to Toronto when he was a toddler.
Omoruyi joins fellow Canadians RJ Barrett, Kelly Olynyk and Chris Boucher on Toronto's roster.
