Toronto Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr. will not return to Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to lower-back tightness, the team announced.
Trent had two points in 14 minutes before the team ruled him out for the game to start the second half.
The Raptors shooting guard came into Monday's game averaging 12.1 points per game this season while shooting 43 per cent from behind the three-point arc.
Trent has been one of the Raptors with trade speculation around them as Thursday's NBA trade deadline approaches.
If dealt, Trent would become the third piece of the Raptors' main rotation to be dealt this season, joining OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam.
The 25-year-old guard was drafted 37th overall by the Sacramento Kings in the 2018 draft. Toronto acquired Trent at the 2021 trade deadline in a deal that sent Norman Powell to the Portland Trail Blazers.
