Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet left Friday's 132-113 loss against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a non-COVID illness, the team announced near the end of the fourth quarter.
VanVleet had 15 points, two rebounds and three assists over 28 minutes. VanVleet's exit initially coincided with the Raptors pulling their starters amid the blow-out loss before the team announced his night was over.
The 28-year-old's status for Saturday's game against the Indiana Pacers is not yet clear.
VanVleet has already been out of the lineup this season, missing three games due to a back injury.
In nine games this season entering Friday's contest, he was averaging 18.8 points and 7.2 assists.
The Raptors take on the Pacers at 7 p.m. ET on Sportsnet ONE on Saturday.
