Toronto Raptors star point guard Fred VanVleet did not practice because of back spasms on Wednesday, one day after he exited a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers in the third quarter because of lower back stiffness.
VanVleet is listed as questionable for Thursday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
An all-star last season, VanVleet is averaging 18.5 points, 6.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds this season.
Meanwhile, Raptors rookie centre Christian Koloko was scheduled to get an MRI on his knee on Wednesday after suffering an injury Tuesday against the Clippers. He too is listed as questionable to face Memphis.
Precious Achiuwa (right ankle sprain) also is questionable.
