Toronto Raptors guard Fred VanVleet (ribs) is set to return from a one-game absence while forward O.G. Anunoby (ankle) has been listed as out Sunday against the New York Knicks, head coach Nick Nurse said prior to the game.
VanVleet missed Saturday's game against Boston due to right hip soreness. Prior to missing that close 106-104 loss to the division rival Celtics, VanVleet had played three of the best games of his season, averaging 32.3 points, 8.3 assists, and 5.0 rebounds.
So far this year, the undrafted guard has averaged 18.9 points, 6.4 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game.
Anunoby meanwhile was in for Saturday's game but was taken out in the third quarter because of a sore right ankle. He had 12 points and three rebounds at that point in the game.
This season, the sixth-year wing has averaged 17.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game, both career-highs, along with a league-leading 2.1 steals per night.
Precious Achiuwa will earn his second start in as many nights, taking VanVleet's spot in the lineup. Guard Dalano Banton has also been listed as out with a hip injury.
Meanwhile, Knicks guard Immanuel Quickley (knee) and centre Mitchell Robinson (thumb) have been ruled out for Sunday's game.
