Philadelphia 76ers centre Joel Embiid has entered the NBA’s health and safety protocol, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
That rules out Embiid for Monday’s game against the New York Knicks, but it was already a planned rest day for the all-star big.
Embiid is averaging 21.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 4.0 assists in nine games this season.
Tobias Harris, Isaiah Joe and Matisse Thybulle all entered the league’s health and safety protocol last week as well.
