Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers has entered health and safety protocols, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Assistant coach Dan Burke will serve as acting head coach in Rivers’ absence, beginning Thursday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
In addition to Rivers, players Myles Powell and Tyler Johnson have also entered protocols and will miss the Nets game, according to Wojnarowski.
Rivers joins a growing list of coaches who are away from their teams due to protocols, including the Lakers’ Frank Vogel, Bulls’ Billy Donovan, Suns’ Monty Williams, Trail Blazers’ Chauncey Billups and Thunder’s Mark Daigneault.
