The Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly trading Josh Hart to the New York Knicks in exchange for Cam Reddish and a lottery-protected first-round pick in 2023, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
According to Wojnarowski, New York will also send guards Ryan Arcidicono and former Raptor Svi Mykhailiuk to the Blazers along with Hart.
In terms of the protected first, it will turn into four future second-round picks if it is not used by the Blazers at the 2023 draft.
Hart, 27, is averaging 9.5 points and 8.5 rebounds a contest this season through 51 games. He brings backcourt depth to a Knicks squad who are currently right in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race. New York currently sits seventh with a record of 30-26.
This is Hart's sixth season in the league and will be the fourth team of his career. Originally drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers, he was then shipped to the New Orleans Pelicans in the deal that brought Anthony Davis to the Lakers.
Reddish comes to the Blazers looking to revitalize his young career. The 10th overall pick by the Atlanta Hawks in 2019, Reddish has averaged just 10.2 points and three rebounds through 153 games with both the Hawks and the Knicks. This season for the Knicks he has played in just 20 games and has not played since Dec. 3 despite being healthy.
Portland is currently 12th in the Western Conference with a record of 26-28.
