The Milwaukee Bucks are finalizing a three-year deal with Pat Connaughton for a $30 million contract extension with the franchise, sources tell The Athletic's Shams Charania.
One of the Bucks' key shooters, Connaughton will now be with the team through the 2025-26 season as they continue to re-sign key players from their 2021 NBA title run. The swingman has continued to improve on being a key role player, and has been able to contribute both offensively and defensively.
In the 2021-22 regular season, and Connaughton's fourth with Milwaukee, he averaged career highs in points, steals and minutes per game.
Connaughton also made 39.5 per cent of his average 5.7 three-point attempts per game, which were both career highs as well.
As the playoffs arrived, he continued to record career highs in both minutes and points, playing roughly 29.3 minutes per night and tipping in 10.3 points.
