Three candidates are reportedly among the finalists for the head coaching position for the Brooklyn Nets.
Former Milwaukee Bucks championship coach Mike Budenholzer, Sacramento Kings associate head coach Jordi Fernandez and Phoenix Suns associate head coach Kevin Young are in the running, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Budenholzer was fired by the Bucks after the team was eliminated in the first round of last year's playoffs by the Miami Heat. He helped guide Milwaukee to a title win in 2021.
Fernandez is also the head coach of the Canadian men's basketball team and has been the associate coach in Sacramento since 2022.
Young has been the associate coach with the Suns since the 2021 season.
The Nets fired Jacque Vaughn back in February after the team suffered a 50-point loss. He became the interim coach in 2020 after Kenny Atkinson was fired but was moved back to an assistant after Steve Nash was hired and took over after the Canadian was fired.
