Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George is expected to miss the start of the playoffs as he recovers from a knee injury suffered on March 21, per The Athletic's Shams Charania.
George, 32, averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists on 45.7 per cent shooting in 56 games this season, helping the Clippers to a 44-38 record and the 5th seed in the Western Conference.
In George's nine-game absence, Los Angeles went 6-3 and ended the regular season on a three-game winning streak.
The Clippers are set to play the fourth-seeded Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs beginning on April 16.
Charania also reported that the eight-time all-star is making tangible progress toward a return.
