Report: Heat's Bam Adebayo, Goran Dragic doubtful for Game 3 vs. Lakers

Miami Heat stars Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic are both being listed as “doubtful” to play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals vs. the Los Angeles Lakers, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Both players were injured in Game 1 of the series and missed Game 2 as a result.

Dragic is recovering from a plantar tear in his left foot and Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press reports he is getting “near-constant treatment.” The six-foot-three point guard is second on the team in playoff scoring with 19.9 points a game and is shooting 35 per cent from three.

Adebayo is dealing with a neck strain but he told Yahoo Sports’ Chris Haynes after Game 2 that he plans to play in Game 3.

“Yes, I believe I’ll be in the lineup,” Adebayo said, according to Haynes. “I’m feeling better. I believe I’ll play.”

The 23-year-old forward leads the Heat with 10.9 rebounds per game in the playoffs and is averaging 17.8 points, which is third on the team.

The Lakers lead the series 2-0 with Game 3 scheduled for Sunday night.
