Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball will miss the remainder of the season due to a right ankle fracture, The Athletic's Shams Charania reports.
Ball, 21, left Monday's game against the Pistons in the third quarter after injuring his ankle on a non-contact play. X-rays later revealed the ankle was fractured.
A series of injuries to Ball's left ankle has already caused him to miss 27 games this season.
Ball has averaged 23.3 points through 36 games this season and was Charlotte's lone representative at the All-Star game on Feb. 19.
