The New York Knicks will be without All-Star Julius Randle for at least two weeks due to a left ankle sprain, the team announced Thursday.
Randle injured himself late in the second quarter of the Knicks' game against the Miami Heat on Wednesday after coming down awkwardly while rebounding an Immanuel Quickley miss.

The injury comes at an inopportune time from New York as the playoffs rapidly approach. With five games remaining in their schedule, Randle’s timeline will likely cause him to miss the remainder of the regular season, while his availability for the start of the postseason may also be in jeopardy.
Should the sprain spell the conclusion of Randle’s season, he’ll finish with a career-high 25.1 points per game to go along with 10 rebounds and four assists per game in 77 games this season. It signals a bounce-back season for the University of Kentucky product, after he failed to deliver a strong follow-up to his breakout 2020-21 campaign.
