The opening night of the 2023-24 NBA regular season schedule will begin with two star-studded matchups, The Athletic's Shams Charania reported Thursday.
In the first matchup, LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will take on Canada's Jamal Murray and the defending champion Denver Nuggets in the Mile High City.
Murray and the Nuggets swept the Lakers in last season's Western Conference Finals.
To round out the opening night, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors will host Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns.
The Lakers and Warriors also opened the 2022-23 regular season, facing off in a 123-109 win for the Warriors.
Charania also reported the league has decided on five Christmas Day games -- Milwaukee at New York, Philadelphia at Miami, Boston at Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas at Phoenix and Golden State at Denver.
