Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon has left the NBA bubble due to his hamstring injury and the events of the past few days on campus, according to The Athletic‘s Shams Charania.
The 24-year-old suffered the injury in a seeding game against the Toronto Raptors on Aug. 5 when he went down hard after taking a foul from Kyle Lowry on a drive to the basket. After lying on the hardwood for about a minute, Gordon eventually rose and walked off under his own power.
Gordon proceeded to miss the remainder of Orlando’s seeding games and has not played in the first four contests of the Magic’s first-round series against the Milwaukee Bucks, which the latter presently leads 3–1.
The last few days have also been particularly stressful for all NBA players, which saw the Bucks lead a protest against anti-Black racism and police brutality by boycotting their Game 5 contest against the Magic Thursday following the shooting of Jacob Blake, a black man native to Kenosha, Wisc.
All NBA games were soon after postponed and when they will resume remains up in the air.
