Derrick Rose's time in Memphis is seemingly over.
The Grizzlies are reportedly waiving the former NBA MVP according to the Atheltic's Shams Charania on Monday.
Rose, 35, spent the 2023-24 season with Memphis and made 24 appearances (seven starts) throughout the campaign. He averaged eight points and 3.3 assists during that span.
As has been the story for most of the former first-overall pick's career in the NBA, injuries stymied his time with Memphis.
Famously, he tore his ACL in the 2011-12 playoffs and missed the entirety of next season. And with the Grizzlies, Rose missed much of the year due to back and groin injuries.
After his tenure with the Chicago Bulls came to an end by way of a trade to the New York Knicks in the 2016-17 season, Rose has played for the Cleveland Cavaliers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Detroit Pistons.
The three-time All-Star signed with the Grizzlies ahead of last season after spending the previous three in a second stint with the Knicks.
A former Rookie of the Year in 2009 and MVP in 2011, the 15-year vet has shown he can still add value when healthy -- like scoring 50 points for the Timberwolves as a 30-year-old -- while also being a veteran presence in the locker room.
Rose will now head into the 2024-25 season as a free agent.
