The NBA has released a tentative schedule for the 2020-21 season, highlighted by the start of the playoffs on May 22 and the Finals on July 8, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Other key dates include: All-Star break (March 5-10) and a play-in tournament for the seven to 10 seeds (May 17-21).
The NBA has also informed teams that the league’s trade moratorium will end at noon ET on Monday and deals can begin to be consummated.
The opening of trade season will kick off what promises to be a wild week in the NBA, with the 2020 Draft on Wednesday, free-agent negotiations beginning at 6 p.m. ET on Friday and signings starting at 12:01 p.m. ET on Sunday.
The NBA and the NBPA reached an agreement in principle to a Dec. 22 start to the 2020-21 NBA season with a 72-game schedule earlier this week.
