The Brooklyn Nets have signed free agent forward Paul Millsap, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Millsap, 36, reportedly considered joining the Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers, before settling on a move to Brooklyn. The terms of the deal have not yet been disclosed.
The four-time all-star is coming off a one-year, $10-million deal with the Denver Nuggets, with whom he averaged 9.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.8 assists over the course of the 2020-21 NBA season.
Millsap is the Nets’ second marquee free-agent signing this off-season, having signed long-time San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills to a two-year deal in August.
