The Phoenix Suns have started to cement the pieces around their big three.
Following a solid season in the desert last year, Phoenix has opted to re-sign forward Royce O'Neale to a four-year, $44 million extension, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Saturday.
According to ESPN's Zach Lowe, the deal is fully guaranteed and there are no team or player options in the final year.
O'Neale, 31, averaged 8.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists and hit 37.6 per cent of his 3-pointers after being dealt to Phoenix from Brooklyn at the trade deadline.
With stops in Utah and Brooklyn over the course of his seven-year career, O'Neale has established himself as a strong defensive stopper.
