The Toronto Raptors are reportedly filling their open two-way contract slot with some homegrown talent.
The Raptors and guard A.J. Lawson have agreed to terms, according to Michael Scotto of The HoopsHype podcast.
Lawson, a Toronto native, has 57 NBA games on his resume with the Mavericks and Timberwolves. This season, the 24-year-old has appeared in 12 games with the Long Island Nets and averaged 22 points and six rebounds.
A six-foot-six shooting guard, Lawson turned pro after three seasons at the University of South Carolina.
The Raptors have an open two-way contract slot after waiving guard DJ Carton earlier on Tuesday.
