The Toronto Raptors have not made Scottie Barnes part of any potential trade package for Kevin Durant, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
The reigning NBA rookie of the year would likely be of high interest to the Brooklyn Nets in any deal for Durant, who requested a trade earlier this off-season.
Charania says the Toronto Raptors, Boston Celtics and Miami Heat remain top threats to land the 12-time all-star, though he adds the Nets have slowed conversations with the supposed front-runners.
The Nets are looking for an all-star, other high-level players and draft picks in a package for Durant, Charania reports.
Charania writes the Memphis Grizzlies also recently showed interest in Durant.
The Athletic reports the Grizzlies likely would try to build a package for Durant centred around the five first-round draft picks they own.
The Grizzlies went 56-26 last season and executive vice president Zach Kleiman was named NBA executive of the year.
The Celtics, Charania has reported, offered all-star Jaylen Brown, Derrick White and a first-round pick for Durant earlier in the off-season.
Charania adds the Miami Heat have not included all-star Bam Adebayo in potential trade packages.
The Celtics, he writes, have not included Robert Williams or Marcus Smart in offers.
The Philadelphia 76ers, Phoenix Suns, Milwaukee Bucks, Denver Nuggets, New Orleans Pelicans and Atlanta Hawks also reportedly have had discussions about Durant with the Nets.
