The Toronto Raptors have signed veteran point guard Dennis Schroder to a two-year, $26-million deal, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Schroder, 29, averaged 12.6 points and 4.5 assists for the Los Angeles Lakers last season.
It's quite the pay raise for Schroder, as last year with the Lakers he was signed to a one-year veteran minimum contract of just $2.6 million.
Schroder tweeted out his excitement after the news broke.
The move came less than an hour after the Raptors lost Fred VanVleet to the Houston Rockets, who reportedly have signed the star point guard to a three-year, $130-million deal.
The German-born Schroder broke into the NBA in 2013 after he was selected 17th overall by the Atlanta Hawks in the draft.
The six-foot-one Schroder has averaged 14 points and 4.7 assists on 43.4 per cent shooting from the field for his career with the Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics, Rockets and Lakers.
The Athletic's Shams Charania reported the Raptors had interest in Schroder last season before he signed a one-year deal with the Lakers.
