The Phoenix Suns have reached an agreement with guard Mikal Bridges on a four-year, $90-million extension, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The deal will pay him $22.5 million annually.
Bridges, 25, is coming off a breakout season with Phoenix. He averaged 13.5 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 54.3 per cent from the field and 42.5 per cent from three for the NBA finalist Suns. He also established himself as a proficient two-way player in the league.
The Philadelphia native played his college years with the Villanova Wildcats, where he won an NCAA Championship in 2018. He was then selected 10th overall by the Philadelphia 76ers at the 2018 NBA draft, but his rights were traded to the Suns upon being drafted.
