Robert Williams III is set to be out long-term once again due to complications with his knee.
The Portland Trail Blazers big man is set to miss four-to-six weeks after undergoing an arthroscopic procedure to address inflammation in his left knee, NBA insider Chris Haynes reported on Thursday.
The 27-year-old has struggled with knee concerns throughout his career and missed all but six games last season with a knee injury.
Williams has suited up for only 20 games for the Trail Blazers this season thanks to myriad injuries including a concussion as well as hand, ankle and hamstring ailments.
He hasn't played since Feb. 20 due to a left knee sprain.
In his limited time playing this season, the big man is averaging 5.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks in 17.6 minutes per game.
Williams has yet to play more than 60 games in a season over his seven-year career and dealt with a torn meniscus in 2022 and a torn knee ligament in 2023.
